Grant Overview
Thank you for considering the McGinty Family Foundation as a partner in your work. We believe it is important to walk alongside prospective grantees to accomplish mutual goals, and we are eager to review new and innovative ideas aimed at helping vulnerable children succeed. We intentionally place vulnerable children and their families at the center of everything we do, and we seek to support organizations and policies that provide them with integrated programs addressing their comprehensive needs.
Every child has the right to the same opportunities as others, regardless of the challenges they face. Our Foundation recognizes that special education is vital for children with learning disabilities because it ensures they receive a quality education tailored to their unique needs. Preference will be given to special education teachers and special education school programs.
At the Foundation, we support new approaches and practices to strengthen teaching and learning in Ohio. Our goal is to fund and share successful strategies that educate and prepare students for bright, rewarding futures. We have learned that the best teaching methods come from our greatest assets—educators. That is why we have awarded more than $6 million in funding for 2,500 grants to public and private school educators to enhance teaching and learning.
To build our knowledge base and uncover effective new practices in public education, we invite all eligible educational professionals to apply for these grants. We hope this site provides valuable information that encourages educators to recognize their own potential and ensures excellence in teaching and learning in public, parochial, and private schools.
